CoronaCheck is the official app of the Netherlands for displaying coronavirus entry passes. Developed by the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport, it serves as a digital tool to generate a certificate with a QR code representing your negative test result, vaccination status, or recovery. This certificate grants access to specific venues and activities, both domestically and internationally.

Here's how the app works:

1. First and foremost, ensure that you are vaccinated or have undergone a coronavirus test.
2. Prior to your departure, visit www.netherlandsworldwide.nl to verify whether the country you intend to visit requires a coronavirus pass. Additionally, find out the specific type of certificate needed for your destination.
3. Using the CoronaCheck app, create a certificate based on your vaccination or coronavirus test results. You can do this by logging in with your DigiD or utilizing the retrieval code provided if you were tested at a non-GGD test location.
4. You have the option to generate a vaccination certificate from your vaccination record, a test certificate from your negative coronavirus test result, or a recovery certificate from your previous positive coronavirus test result.
5. When entering venues and participating in activities, your QR code will be scanned. This code serves as proof of your vaccination status or negative coronavirus test result, as well as confirming that you did not have coronavirus at the time of testing.
